Many lists tried to categorize the fortunes of presidents all over the world. The most credible among them is that of Forbes from which we are including the richest contemporary presidents below. However, the penultimate list included around 50 presidents of fortunes ranging from 1 billion dollars to 70 billion dollars. This one including previous presidents was topped by the Egyptian former president Hosni Mubarak with a net worth between 40 and 70 billion dollars. Mubark was in office for nearly 30 years from 1981-2011 while the American president Jimmy Carter who ruled for 4 years, from 1977-1981,had a fortune that ranged from 1 to 5 million dollars. The older list included other American presidents like Bill Clinton with $17 million minimum and Gerorge W. Bush with 15 million dollars. Other former presidents with high fortunes included Suharto, former Indonesian president with $15 billion at minimum.
