Who Is Responsible for the Charlie Hebdo Massacre????

Charlie Hebdo attack is one of the worst attacks that have recently happened. This attack has shocked many people all over the world and not just in France. Charlie Hebdo is a French satirical weekly newspaper and what makes the attack on it one of the worst things that have recently happened is that it led to the death of 12 people. It is really a savage way to kill them for what they did and to punish them in that way. Stéphane Charbonnier is a French journalist and satirical caricaturist who was killed savagely on January 7, 2015 during Charlie Hebdo attack. There are also seven other employees at Charlie Hebdo and two National Police officers who were killed during the attack in addition to 11 other persons who were wounded. The main reason behind the Charlie Hebdo massacre is the satirical and unacceptable depictions of Prophet Mohammed, who is the founder of Islam. These satirical depictions motivated two masked gunmen to kill 12 people and injure 11 other persons through using different weapons such as shotguns, AK-47 assault rifles and RPG launchers making you feel as if we are in a war. There are two main suspects who are Saïd and Chérif Kouachi and they are believed to belong to Al-Qaeda.

♦ Who says that freedom means insulting others?

Charlie Hebdo attack is chiefly caused by the journalism ethics and standards that we do not respect. Journalists have to respect others and express their opinions in an acceptable way. Intellectual liberty does not mean that you are given the right to insult others and make fun of them. You are completely free to express your opinion and criticize others, but you have also to respect them.

All the Muslims are against the satirical depictions of Prophet Mohammed, but this does not mean that they agree with the savage attack on Charlie Hebdo and its employees. The problem is that all the people are not the same even if they belong to the same religion. There are some people who think before doing anything, while there are others who are completely controlled by their emotions without being able to think before harming others.

♦ Who gives you the right to kill others because they express their opinions?

Prophets such as Prophet Mohammed and Jesus Christ were treated badly and attacked by their opponents; however they never asked their followers to kill them or even punish them for what they do. So, we should not do this now and kill others for the sake of our prophets and if we want to raise our objection, we have to use our minds to fight others intellectually and not to use weapons that kill other innocent people who have nothing to do with all of that.

Making fun of famous characters such as presidents and others can lead to serious problems to the extent that it may affect the relation between countries, so what about the religious characters including prophets?

“Your freedom ends where another’s begins”

“There are red lines that should not be crossed”

“In order to be respected, you have to respect others”

“In order to save your life, you have to stop motivating others to kill you”

&

In order to show that you disagree with others, you have to use your mind “not your hands & weapons”

The only solution to handle such a problem is that

Governments should impose restrictive laws on journalists to force them to respect others and express their opinions freely without making fun of people whoever they are.

Governments and even ordinary people should work with each other to fight those savage killers “terrorists” who kill others because they express their opinions even if it is in an inappropriate and unacceptable way.

Do you agree with this??????
