Beauty

Do you have a hard time finding different ways to describe beautiful and attractive things, experiences, and people? How do you imagine somebody who is cute, gorgeous, or good-looking, and how do native speakers experience these words?

Beauty can be consoling, disturbing, sacred, profane; it can be exhilarating, appealing, inspiring, chilling. It can affect us in an unlimited variety of ways. Yet it is never viewed with indifference.

Beauty is when you can appreciate yourself. When you love yourself, that’s when you’re most beautiful.

The more often we see

the things around us – even the beautiful and wonderful things – the more they become invisible to us. That is why we often take for granted the beauty of this world: the flowers, the trees, the birds, the clouds – even those we love. Because we see things so often, we see them less and less.

My greatest beauty secret

is being happy with myself. I don’t use special creams or treatments – I’ll use a little bit of everything. It’s a mistake to think you are what you put on yourself. I believe that a lot of how you look is to do with how you feel about yourself and your life.
