Extraordinary and Weird Goats that Can Fly & Stand on the Branches

Have you ever seen any goats that can fly? We used to see goats walking on the ground but to see them high in trees is an incredible thing. It is one of the strangest things that you can hear about or see one day as we usually look at trees to see small birds not big goats. These weird goats that can fly can be found in Morocco only. They do not have wings like birds but they act as if they have wings. They climb trees which are known in Morocco as Argan trees to enjoy eating their fruit and not for having fun. Argan trees are among the rarest trees in the world and they are like olive trees as oil is extracted from their fruit or seeds.

These weird goats can climb trees up to 30 feet high and can also jump from one branch to another easily without falling on the ground. They have a great ability to keep their balance. They are always followed by farmers not because they represent an unusual phenomenon or to protect them from falling on the ground, but because the seeds that these goats eat are very precious. The Argan oil that is extracted from the kernels of the seeds in the Argan tree has many benefits that cannot be found in other types of oil. In addition to the good taste, it can be used for cooking and is also used in cosmetics for moisturizing the dry skin and as anti-aging product for fighting the signs of skin aging.

The goats eat the seeds and leave the kernels because they are difficult to be digested. They spit the kernels out of their mouths or let them come out of their bodies through their droppings. The farmers take these kernels that are left by goats to produce Argan oil.

Unfortunately, this kind of trees is on its way to disappear because of misusing and over-harvesting them by the locals and because of the goats themselves which destroy these trees. The locals cut the wood of these rare trees and the goats always climb them to eat their fruit. All of this does not even give the chance for the tree to stay alive or for the seeds to ripen.

In order to protect these trees from disappearing, some of the locals and other organizations decided to prevent goats from climbing these trees and eating their seeds in order to allow these seeds to grow and ripen. The goats can eat the seeds when they fall on the ground instead of climbing the trees and destroying them. Such a decision will save the trees from being destroyed and will increase the amount of oil that is produced from their seeds.
