Landscape architecture means the designs of the outdoor areas like public parks, home gardens or landmarks. This is a profession which is called landscape architect whose job is to plan and design the landscape. Landscape architects are specialized in making variable landscapes in public areas; There are some students, who study landscape architecture, make some special designs of landscapes in public areas as gardens and parks as a training.
The landscape architects make plans and designs for land areas like parks, airports, highways, gardens or other sites which could be industrial, residential or commercial. Landscape architects spend most of their times in their offices making plans and designs, they could work almost 50 hours per week to achieve the perfect design. They are concerned with plans and designs of the site with its scene.
The landscape architects could work in all types of sites whether it was large or small, or with hard built or soft planted area. Landscape architects could also make designs for new developments, green ways, green roofs, groundwater, housing areas and the squares of the city or town. They work with their special skills like using geomorphology, hydrology and soil science.
