Bye Bye Robin Williams …

“The world will never be the same” said his children and yes they are right. Once the news of his death emerged a wave of emotional outburst was recorded across the world. He made other people happy when he wasn’t happy himself. The world has lost a great talent. A man who shaped our childhood with his talented and funny movies. That man who made us giggle was struggling with depression. The news confirming the cause of death as apparent suicide shocked all of his fans who loved and admired him. The 63-old actor is reported to have suffered the early stages of Parkinson’s disease along with depression and anxiety as his wife, Susan Schneider, revealed in a statement early Thursday.

The academy-Award winning actor Robin Williams had entertained generations starting from the late 1970’s up till this moment. He started his career as a stand-up comedian. His fame rose after his performance in “Mork & Mindy” TV series, followed by his successful dramatic role in “Dead Poets Society”. He was remembered for his “Good Will Hunting”, “Jumanji” and “Mrs. Doubtfire”. Robin Williams was nominated for three times the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor and four Golden Globe Awards in addition to five Grammy Awards. He was one of a kind.

The news not only shocked his fans but also touched notable figures, celebs and even president Obama issued a statement on his death saying:

” Robin Williams was an airman, a doctor, a genie, a nanny, a president, a professor, a bangarang Peter Pan, and everything in between.  But he was one of a kind.  He arrived in our lives as an alien – but he ended up touching every element of the human spirit.  He made us laugh.  He made us cry.  He gave his immeasurable talent freely and generously to those who needed it most – from our troops stationed abroad to the marginalized on our own streets.  The Obama family offers our condolences to Robin’s family, his friends, and everyone who found their voice and their verse thanks to Robin Williams.”

With the tragic death of Robin Williams, the night has been poured with tributes to him. Many of his fans and celebs paid tribute to Robin Williams the last few days. His death has shed light on mental illness and depression and would probably change people’s perspective of dealing with those suffering from depression and mental illness.

We will always remember him and his unique talent. He won our hearts when he was alive and will always be remembered even after his death.
